LWML NEWS – JANUARY
HUGS PROJECT Collection
We are thrilled to announce the LWML collection for our HUGS PROJECT! This initiative is focused on gifting the brave men and women of Trinity Lutheran Church who are serving in the Military Armed Services.
A heartfelt thank you to all who have contributed to this project! We invite the ladies of the congregation to join us on Saturday, January 11th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for our Brunch and Military Workday. During this time, we will be assembling the donations into individual packages to show our appreciation for our service members.
Upcoming Events
Keep an eye out for our LWML and Lutheran World Relief annual Shoe Collection event! Please begin looking through your shoe closets for gently worn and new shoes. The collection will take place from January 5th to January 26th.
Additionally, we are busy making plans for the Biennial National Convention of LWML, which will be held June 26-29, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. We are currently collecting names of individuals interested in riding a charter bus to Omaha. The charter bus experience will not only serve as transportation but also provide wonderful opportunities to meet new LWML friends and reconnect with old ones on our journey to this uplifting event.
For registration details, please refer to the latest edition of The Lutheran Woman’s Quarterly or visit LWML.org/convention. For more information, feel free to contact:

Thanksgiving Dinner Contribution
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who provided home-cooked dishes and participated in our Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks to your generous contributions, we were able to collect $741 to support Reverend Steven and Martha Mahlburg, who serve the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as missionaries in Sri Lanka. Your involvement truly makes a difference!
Together, let’s continue to support our community and those in need. Thank you for your dedication and service!
