What is Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) about anyway?
THE LWML VISION STATEMENT: The LWML is the leading group for LCMS women where each woman is welcomed and encouraged to use her unique God-given gifts as she supports global missions and serves the Lord with gladness (Ps 100).
Did you know that all women at Trinity are members of Mary Martha Guild, which is Trinity’s official name for our LWML group? There are no dues to join. Attending one of our Bible studies or quarterly activities; participating in our community mission projects or serving on Altar Guild, are some of the opportunities to serve at Trinity.
How are global missions supported at Trinity? Mite box collections are the primary way global missions are supported through LWML at Trinity. If you don’t have a mite box pick one up at the Welcome Center in the narthex. Throughout the month you can collect your change and deposit it in the large mite box on the Welcome Center. Our Local society also supports international missions by giving financial assistance to a missionary family in Sri Lanka. The funds for this support come from donations made at our annual turkey meal in November. So when you bake a pie, cook a turkey, help prepare the meal, attend the meal and donate, you are supporting our global mission here at Trinity.
Serve the Lord with Gladness!
